Centre for British Bangladeshis (CfBB)
Centre for British Bangladeshis (CfBB) was founded in 2020 during the wake of Covid19 to support BAME communities, particularly the UK Bangladeshi community. Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) people in the UK are over twice as likely to live in poverty compared to their white counterparts. British Bangladeshis in the UK are the second highest income-deprived (26%) community after the Pakistani heritage (31%).
One in 10 Bangladeshi adults is likely to be unemployed, compared with one in 25 white British. Working in conjunction with community leaders and mainstream politician, the CfBB offers a positive engagement in tackling social depredation and poverty, and contribute to providing equality of opportunity for all. Our vision is to help create an equal society where people from all communities are placed at the heart of every development that ensures social justice and equal opportunity.
